Tower Technician (South Bend)
The Tower Technician is responsible for assisting the Sales Department with the development and growth of existing customers by completing and delivering quotes for the manufacture and distribution of telecommunications support structures.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates and two to five years of relevant manufacturing experience required. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel and database applications necessary
Process detailed and technical quotes from customers to find and record all pertinent information for structure design. Work as a team with inside and outside sales representatives and customers to research and obtain all pertinent information for structure design. Work in compliance with established procedures and protocols to use computer programs that run structure design programs. Prepare formal quotations and submittals with accuracy. Ensure that quote schedules are met, priorities are observed and deviations are communicated to the department. Act as a focal point for technical support questions from the sales department as well as customers. Maintain company and customer confidentiality. Maintain productivity and composure in a highly pressured and fast-paced environment. Exceptionally detail-oriented. Ability to learn technical product knowledge. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to use sound judgment to make decisions within the scope of the position. Data analysis skills and the ability to make comparisons between sets of data and decisions based on the observed relationships. Familiarity with percentages, proportions, ratios and basic geometry. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and efficiently manage time. Ability to be innovative and creative in problem-solving
