2nd Shift
Monday - Friday ( 3:15pm- 1:45am )
Saturday ( 1:15pm - 9:45pm)
Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help prevent incidents and respond swiftly to emergencies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as the first line of defense in maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
Duties
Assist with daily walkthroughs in fabrication, welding, coating, and yard areas to identify and report safety hazards.
Monitor PPE compliance, ensuring employees use proper helmets, gloves, eye and hearing protection.
Support incident reporting and help document near-misses, injuries, and equipment-related hazards.
Assist in coordinating and preparing safety meetings and toolbox talks related to high-risk activities (e.g., crane operation, confined spaces, hot work).
Maintain accurate records of safety training, employee certifications, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Track inspection and maintenance schedules for safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and harnesses.
Conduct onboarding for new employees, delivering safety orientations tailored to manufacturing and yard operations.
Help prepare documentation for OSHA, EPA, and other compliance audits.
Support the EHS team in implementing corrective actions and follow-ups after safety inspections or incidents.
Assist in emergency preparedness and response drills, including fire, spill, and injury scenarios.
Participate in maintaining the OSHA log books and contribute to internal safety audits and inspections.
Order and monitor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory and usage.
Coordinate day-to-day administration of workers' compensation claims from the time of injury through return to work.
Assist injured employees by scheduling and attending medical appointments as needed.
Transport injured employees to and from medical appointments when necessary.
Maintain regular communication with injured employees to monitor recovery progress and answer questions throughout the claims process.
Follow up with physicians, medical providers, insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, and third-party administrators regarding treatment plans, work restrictions, and claim status.
Obtain and maintain work status reports, physician restrictions, and other required medical documentation.
Coordinate return-to-work and light-duty assignments in collaboration with supervisors and Human Resources.
Ensure employee work restrictions are communicated and followed throughout the recovery process.
Assist with accident investigations and gather documentation needed for workers' compensation claims.
Maintain confidential workers' compensation files and ensure all claim documentation is complete and up to date.
Assist with OSHA injury recordkeeping, including maintaining OSHA 300 logs and required reporting.
Track workers' compensation claim activity and provide status updates to management.
Coordinate post-accident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.
Support the Safety Coordinator in identifying injury trends and implementing corrective actions to reduce workplace incidents.
