Robot Welder Programmer ($25hr)
Program, set up and operate robot welding machine to fabricate metal products according to specifications and blueprints.


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform this job successfully.  While performing the duties pertaining to this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.  Strength and stamina sufficient to maintain a rigorous work schedule, requiring physical exertion and heavy lifting (5lb upto 75 lb).  Perform physical activities that require moving the whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials.  Using hands and arms in installing, forming, positioning, and moving materials, or in manipulating things.  The ability to use one's abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.  The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. 

High School education or GED required.  Certification or Vocational training preferred.  Two - four years of experience programming and operating a robotic welder in a manufacturing facility required.  Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices and proficiency in computers is required.  Must pass an initial practical weld test.  To be fully certified, will need to pass a 2G weld test.

Candidate will be eiligible for weekly incentive of up to 15% when production goals are met.
Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.  Enters operating instructions into computer to adjust and start welding machine.  Observes and listens to welding machine and its controls to ensure welding process meets specifications.  Lifts work piece manually or using hoist and secures work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device. Set up and operate machine, engages feed, and observes operation. Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.  Move machine controls and guides to adjust machine. Replace worn machine accessories, such as cutting tools or brushes. May add coolant to machine reservoir and turn valve to start flow of coolant. May file, sand, or shape machined parts, using hand tools and power tools. May clean machined parts, using degreasing tank or solvent and rags.  Transfers components, metal products, and assemblies, using moving equipment.
