Quality Engineer
Develops, implements, and maintains all facets of the quality system. Provides input to plant process and product quality issues. Tracks and analyzes customer quality issues and determines the need, and to what degree, for action. Reviews all quality processes to identify bottlenecks and recommends improvement activities.

Education and Experience
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in operations or engineering preferred from 4 year college or university, 5 years managerial experience in quality or manufacturing environment, proven knowledge of ISO or AISC quality systems and demonstrate ability to perform audits. Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques, developing corrective actions, and able to train. Must possess good verbal, written, and presentation skills, perform basic math calculations, and a familiar working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly MS Access and or Sharepoint.
Basic expectations- ability to:
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to address corrective actions / continuous improvements.
  • Develop / maintain processes and or systems using tools like MS Access, VB, or Sharepoint.
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Involved in all quality system-related activities including planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes related to Quality Assurance and Quality Control / Inspection.
  • Develop/improve Quality processes through process documentation and/or IT system development.
  • Support company’s efforts concerning Supplier Quantity and Internal/External Auditing.
  • Administers document control structure and assures Quality Department’s compliance to its processes and procedures.
  • Assure the customer deliverables such as mill test reports and inspection reports are appropriately gathered and delivered.
  • Support the Quality Control / Inspection portion of the Quality Department by aiding in Supervision and / or work instruction development.
